Formation Session for Leaders of the Champagnat Movement of the Marist Family

02/12/2013: Brazil

One of the strategic objectives of the ChMMF of the Province of « Brasil Centro-Norte » for the term 2012-2015 is to Create a space for the formation of Animators and Brother Advisers of the fraternities. Accordingly, a first meeting of formation of leaders took place from 15 to 17 November 2013, in Belo Horizonte at the Marist college « Dom Silverio «, under the device « For leaders who engender life ».

Twenty-nine persons took part in this event. The work was directed by the provincial co-ordination of the Movement. In addition to working on the subjects appropriate to the exercice of leadership, the participants paid a visit to the Centre of Marist Studies (CEM), guided by its director, Heloisa de Almeida.

At the end of the meeting, those taking part considered that the session had been very positive for their own personal journey and that of the fraternities. They departed with the wish that there would be other meetings of the sort. That is a proof that the objective was attained.

The second session will be held at the beginning of May 2014.
