600 people gather from Brasil Centro-Sul
Around 600 youth, employees and Marist Brothers of the Province of Brasil Centro-Sul celebrated the tenth anniversary of the “Marist Youth Ministry” during its Provincial congress.
The purpose of the meeting, held on April 18-20, was to celebrate 10 years of the path of the “Marist Youth Ministry,” or the PJM.
“Today we are a small group, so we want to increase the number to transform the world from our local reality,” said Eduardo da Silva from Dourados, Brazil.
Ana Luiza Leite da Silva, of the Marist School Pius XII of Ponta Grossa, stressed that in the next 10 years of her life in the PJM, she will try to do something that can bring about a change in society.
“I want to help more and more people, like Marcellin did,” she stated.
Its theme, “youth who show a new way of being,” was a call to reflect on the future prospects of the Marist youth ministry in the province.
It was also an opportunity to recall the PJM’s history, get in tune with the Bicentennial of the Marist foundation, expand the PJM’s vision in Marist Brazil and strengthen ties among participants.
After the Congress, the youth returned to their usual life with determination to persevere and be protagonists in the PJM.
