7 Marist schools are certified by Bureau Veritas

On September 8th, the Norandina Province celebrated the certification of the Quality Management System of the 7 public schools in Colombia.

After a process of more than ten years, in which each institution joined in this work which involved the contribution of each of the members of the educational communities and the creation of quality teams, as well as the carrying out of audits, the firm Bureau Veritas received recognition of the educational quality of these Marist works.

In a virtual ceremony attended simultaneously by the rectors and their management teams of each of the 7 private institutions of the country, Brother Leonardo Yepes, national leader of Strategic Direction and national coordinator of education, received from Martha Triana, director of certification of Bureau Veritas Latin America, the Multi-Site document certifying compliance with the ISO9001:2015 standard in the Management System.

Quality Management System

A Quality Management System is understood as a tool that serves to coordinate and direct the activities of an organisation that seeks to meet the requirements of customers and interested parties, thus improving its effectiveness and efficiency on an ongoing basis.

In this way it can be concluded that the importance of implementing a quality management system lies in the fact that it serves as a platform to develop within our organisation, the Marist Brothers of the Schools Community, a series of activities, processes and procedures aimed at ensuring that the educational service offered meets the needs and expectations of our clients, who are all the families who choose to educate their children in our schools.

The implementation of the Management System has been the fruit of a profound reflection on the raison d’être and the projection that we have in the educational work of Colombia for 2023. This has been a work that has been developed with the support of many Brothers and collaborators who are part of the different Marist Institutions through an internal, collaborative and participative process.

After joining dreams, projects, ways of doing things, difficulties and achievements, the directors of each institution, together with those responsible for quality, will continue in the search to transform the pedagogical and administrative conceptions and practices, through the implementation of the Management System with the aim of consolidating a culture of continuous improvement.
