Annual retreat of the Brothers of Norandina

Br. João Carlos do Prado, General Councillor, accompanied the annual spiritual retreat of the Marist Brothers of Norandina serving in the works of Colombia, which concluded on 16 October.

About 50 Brothers gathered to reflect on the joy of being a Marist Brother today, to rediscover the gift and gift of vocation, to reflect on the Rule of Life and to live a profound experience of provincial fraternity.

At the end of the meeting, the Eucharist of missioning was celebrated in which recognition was also given to some jubilarians, highlighting their time of Marist service; among them were Brothers Armando Rivas (75 years), Hernán Gómez Osorio (60 years), Javier Bometón (50 years), Juan Carlos Villareal and Ismar Portilla (25 years).

Brother Orlando Escobar, Provincial, thanked Brother João Carlos Do Prado for his accompaniment and recalled the invitation to welcome the innovation that arises in this time of uncertainty, being beacons of hope in the midst of the communities.
