Appealing for volunteers
Marist Youth Ministry are running a homework club to help children from refugee families with one-on-one tutoring, craft and sewing for parents, games and sport activities in Melbourne, Australia.
In a recent video, MYM appealed for volunteers to join the weekly one and a half hour sessions, currently held on Tuesday afternoon.
“We would also encourage any local Marist Association members to contact us if you are interested in supporting as volunteers, after all our Marist vision asks us ‘to be game changers for young people, particularly for those most on the peripheries’,” affirmed one of the club leaders.
