Awaken the Dawn: Prophets and Mystics for our People

The XIV Provincial Chapter of the Province of Central America, held in Guatemala from December 12 to 17, counted with 32 capitulants lead by Brother Provincial and accompanied by Brother Eugène Kabanguka, who participated as a General Council representative. Five lay Marists took part as guests.

The Chapter’s motto was “Awaken the Dawn: Prophets and Mystics for our People”, and became a source of inspiration throughout the Chapter’s development.

On December 12, Brother Hipólito Pérez, outgoing Provincial, read the statement from Brother Emili Turú SG officially appointing Brother Luis Carlos Gutiérrez Blanco as Provincial of Central America for a first three-year term.

In his mandate, Brother Luis Carlos will be assisted by the elected Provincial Councilors: Juan Antonio Sandoval, Daniel Martín, Gregorio Linacero, Carlos Vélez, Balbino Juárez, and Mynor González.
