Be joyful witnesses to the Gospel

The Brothers in temporary profession in the Philippines (East Asia Province) gathered from July 18 – 20 for the first set of three meetings for the academic year 2015 – 2016 in Lagao, General Santos City.

One of the meeting’s highlight was the sharing of Fr. Lionel R. Mechavez, SM which centred on consecrated life. He also shared his rich experience as a religious and Marist priest. Moreover, he challenged and encouraged participants to be happy young Marist Brothers.

We were also glad to welcome and listen to Bro. Tony Leon, FMS during our gathering. It was very timely that he enlightened us about the Brothers of Today and other relevant information and issues about the Formation in the whole Institute.

The meeting was also an opportune time for us young Brothers assigned in different communities to have a time to bond, share experiences, and encourage one another in our vocation as consecrated young men. Towards the end of the gathering, we also had planning for our next meeting on October 29-31, 2015 at Kidapawan City, Philippines.
