Bless the Lord

On Sunday March 30th, 2008 a group of brothers from the continental scholasticate in Nairobi, Kenya (MIC), launched their second musical CD entitled: ?Bless the Lord?. A year ago, they have launched the first CD (?Happy are the people? ? you can listen to some of those songs >>).

This time, the CD contains 13 Psalms and 1 Canticle (from the book of Daniel 3, which gives the name to the CD, where all nature and creatures are invited to Bless the Lord!). At the same time, two of the Psalms are composed and sung in French, while the rest are all in English.

The Marist community at MIC is among the larger ones in the Institute, with 79 young brothers and 13 brothers in the formation tam. If our young brothers coming from so many countries of the continent come together, they have an excellent opportunity to exchange their talents, particularly in terms of their music abilities. Therefore, as they spend some time in their post-novitiate stage of formation, they have the possibilities of developing the talents they have.

?The Marists? as it is named this group, welcomes also lay people and religious sisters who are students at our college. It is also for them a good opportunity to unveil their good abilities, as they give a good voice balance to the CD. We invite to all who are interested, to listen to the songs we offer as a sample of the CD.

In case that you are interested to order CD?s (Nº 1 and/or Nº 2), make your requests to [email protected]. Wishing you a good listening to this ?gospel music?.
