Br. Rogério R. Mateucci is appointed Rector of PUCPR

The Provincial Council of Brasil Centro-Sul appointed Brother Rogério Renato Mateucci as Rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR). Br Rogério is the current Vice-Rector for Mission, Identity and Communication and a member of the Board of Directors of the PUCPR. His appointment was confirmed by the Vatican’s Congregation for Catholic Education for a first term of 4 years (2022 – 2025).

Br Benê Oliveira, Provincial Superior, expressed his fraternity, gratitude and support for Br Rogério’s leadership in carrying out the mission of the University, and also thanked Professor Waldemiro Gremski, who in recent years has been the Rector of the PUC of Paraná.

Br. Rogério R. Mateucci has a solid religious, theological and Marist formation, and also has pastoral experience and experience in the management of schools for basic education.
