Brothers consecrate themselves permanently to children & youth evangelisation
The perpetual profession of Brothers Wilguins François and Jean Mance Louis –Jeune was celebrated to the beat of the Haitian drums in the Marist Novitiate in Jeremie, Haiti on Aug. 15, the feast of the Assumption of Mary. Brother Antonio Cavazos, head of the sector of Haiti and delegate of the Superior General, received the vows of consecration to God.
This celebration brought together the families of our brothers, all the brothers of the Haiti sector, the postulants and several friends of the Marist mission.
We give thanks to our Good God and to our Good Mother for the new vocations that are given to us and that are, in some way, fruit of the work of the Canadian brothers, who 30 years ago decided to found the Marist work in these new lands that were in so much need of the Gospel and that at the same time have a lot to offer for the development of the Marist charism and mission.
The Marist charism continues to incarnate and develop itself in Haiti, where, 30 years ago the Canadian brothers decided to found the Marist work in that land. The two Brothers consecrated their lives and affection permanently to the formation and evangelisation of the Haitian childhood and youth that is in so much need of brothers and friends that show them the joyful mercy that God has for them and that tell them in their Creole language that God loves and looks at them lovingly.
