Carried on his shoulders

Greetings from Phnom Penh where everything is going on as usual in our Community. On June 6th. we had a simple celebration with our Aspirants. Just an evocative prayer and dinner outside at a typical Khmer restaurant. In our prayer we meditate on this paragraph from ?Water from the Rock?:

Carried on his shoulders
153. The statue of St Marcellin that stands in one of the niches on the external façade of St. Peter?s Basilica represents our Founder carrying a young boy on his shoulders. We see in this artistic expression a symbol of the strength and powerful inspiration of Marist Spirituality for the world of today. It illustrates too the Marist belief of being raised upon the shoulders of a vigorous spiritual tradition, able to carry us into a future filled with the promise of vitality and hope.

May the Holy Spirit allows us to find appropriate ways to share this ?vigorous spiritual tradition? with many young Khmer boys that can make true this ?future of vitality and hope? in Cambodia where so many children and young people claim the presence of Marcellin alive today through our arms.

We ask your support on praying for the process of mutual knowledge and discernment we are living with Sytha and Socklee, our first aspirants. As Marcellin did, let?s place them into the heart of Our Good Mother.
