Celebration of Saint Marcellin Champagnat

The Brothers of Guatemala, the capital, gathered in the « Residencia Champagnat » on 6 June, a date so special and so looked forward to by every Marist Brother, to celebrate and thank God and our good Mother for the life and person of our saintly founder, Marcellin Champagnat. The Brothers present came from the communities of : « Residencia Champagnat », « Liceo Guatemala », Marist School, Scholasticate, Provincial House – the organizer – and the « Moisés Cisneros » School, together with the  « hermanitas » María Laura and Daisy.

It was a time of family around the figure and memory of our holy founder, shared by 28 Brothers and Sisters.

But before sharing supper, we had a little joyful and fervent celebration : prayer, mission, life of Saint Marcellin and the letter sent by our Superior General on this occasion.

Then there was atoast and the sharing of the food prepared for the feast.

The Brothers of the communities of Guatemala send their sincere congratulations to all the Brothers as well as the Marist Family, in Jesus, Mary and Champagnat.
