Co-responsibility in a new beginning for the Institute
A course for lay Marists will be held from May 19 to June 2 of this year in the General House. Fifty-six 56 participants will come from most of the Administrative Units. We want to integrate the training proposal within the Bicentennial celebration, welcoming the great gift of the Holy Spirit, who gives rise to the Marist laity, as stated by Br Emili Turú, the Superior General. The course is a way of participating in a historic moment of birth, a new beginning of the Institute.
It is designed for lay people, who have had some Marist experience and that can take up leadership responsibilities of training processes, whether at a provincial or at an international level.
The course is designed to be a clear motivation for co-responsibility in lay processes of the Institute, such as the development of vocational routes, the call to be mystics and prophets, some form of lay association.
The goals of the course equally includes raising international awareness and unity of the Marist laity, as well as the possibility of moving the experience to a regional level.
It features contributions on different topics from some non-Marist laity, members of the General Council, course participants and other lay Marists.
Alongside the exhibitions of the content and motivation, a participatory methodology will be introduced as well as experiences of small communities, workshops, personal dialogues, itinerary notebooks… that enables skills to pass them on.
