Colégio Marista de Carcavelos wins award as “volunteer school”

Carcavelos Marist School won first place in the 2021/2022 Volunteer School Award, which was held on June 9 and rewarded all the volunteers who participated in the Marist Volunteers’ Open Day project.

The winning project, Marist Volunteers Open Day, promotes in parallel different activities with partner institutions and associations, which makes possible the practice of volunteering from the first cycle to secondary education, where students participate with their families, enhancing the fraternal spirit and the fight against indifference.

This first place recognizes the volunteer work carried out at the school and symbolizes the active commitment of volunteers at the school.

Through the Marist Volunteers, we aim to combat indifference and foster in students the seed of volunteerism, exercise active citizenship, fulfill our founder’s dream, and form “good Christians and virtuous citizens”.
