District of West Africa and province of Nigeria

19th June 2010, was a wonderful and a grace-filled day for the Marist world, especially the District of West Africa and province of Nigeria. Eight vibrant, energetic, and spirit-filled young men were admitted into the family of the little Brothers of Mary. We thank God for these precious gifts and we pray for their perseverance.

They are from different African countries; Eric Kramo from Ghana, Yves Eyong Mbiatem, Kfeban Divine Sebeey from Cameroon, and Ocheme Anthony, Nwodo Elias Chukwulob, Abutu Edwin and Michael Okutachi from Nigeria.

The faithful came in their numbers to witness to this great occasion. The Bishop of Obuasi diocese, Ghana, Most Rev. Gabriel Justice Anokye, was the chief celebrant. The faithful, priest, religious and the formatees came in their numbers. Brothers Sylvain Yao, and Christian Mbam and a good number of Marist Brothers from the District of West Africa were in attendant. We thank God for the gift of vocations. We continue to pray for more and for the perseverance of those who have already been called.
