On Saturday, December 21st, 2024, the Marist Brothers of the Province of West Africa, family, and the faithful gathered at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Punikrom, Sefwi-Wiawso, Ghana, to witness the solemn final profession of Brother Samuel Nkuah. This significant occasion brought together Marist Brothers working in Ghana, postulants, novices, priests, religious, lay faithful, and Br. Samuel’s family members.

The Mass, presided over by Bishop Samuel Nkuah-Boateng, was a moment of grace and deep spiritual reflection. In his homily, Bishop Nkuah-Boateng exhorted Br. Samuel to “remain in God” and nurture a deep connection with God, particularly through his Marist vocation. The Bishop acknowledged the growing scrutiny on the Church in today’s challenging world, urging Br. Samuel to embrace this era as a call to profound reflection and unwavering commitment. He assured him that the God who called him to this vocation would guard and strengthen him, as long as he remained steadfast in his faith and trust in God. Br Cyprian Bankakuu Gandeebo, the Provincial Superior, received the Br. Samuel’s vows in name of the Superior General.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, the congregation shared in the joy of the occasion as gifts were presented to Br. Samuel. The atmosphere was one of warmth and unity, culminating in a communal meal that brought together all present to celebrate Br. Samuel’s lifelong commitment to God and the Marist way of life.

As Br. Samuel begins his mission in Monrovia, Liberia, the Marist family and all who attended this memorable event continue to pray for him. We pray for his strength, perseverance, and faithfulness in his vocation, that he may bear witness to Christ’s love and bring hope to those he serves in Liberia.

May Br. Samuel Nkuah’ s final profession inspire others to respond generously to God’s call, and may his life be a testament to the enduring presence of God in the Church and the world.
