First Marist Novices from Timor Leste

On Saturday 24th June after a delay caused by new visa requirements, one week’s orientation program and a retreat, twelve new novices were initiated into the Marist International Novitiate at Tudella, Sri Lanka.

The twelve included our first four novices from Timor Leste, three from Vietnam, two from Papua New Guinea, two from Sri Lanka and one from Bangladesh.

The new novices were presented with a bible, the Marist Constitutions and a Marist Cross and accepted on behalf of the Provincial of South Asia (for their respective Province and Districts) by Br Noel Fonseka, Vice Provincial of South Asia.
