Holy Year Compostela 2010

To celebrate the Compostela Holy Year 2010, Santiago is opening its doors to the thousands of pilgrims coming from all parts of the world to the tomb of the Apostle. The Marist Province of Compostela, through its communities in Roxos and in the Colegio Mayor Gelmírez, also wishes to open its doors to all the Brothers and Marist communities who are coming to Santiago during the summer.

The Marist house in Roxos is situated 6 km from the centre of Santiago de Compostela and has single and double rooms. It has an extensive garden, a swimming pool and space for recreation. The Colegio Mayor Gelmírez, in Santiago, is occupied up to 30 June; from 10 to 17 July it is booked for a retreat and from 9 to 15 August it is occupied by a group. Outside these dates, it offers single rooms and breakfast (though the kitchen service is not available for other meals). These two houses and communities offer you their hospitality, within what is possible, and offer this service to the Marist pilgrims. By means of the email and telephone contacts indicated you may receive all the information, settle dates and conditions, and make sure details are precise. And, God willing, we can give you the familiarity and closeness you deserve, and help you live this festival of St James as an experience rich in human, cultural, and Christian meaning, and especially in the Marist spirit.
