Institute of Marist Studies promotes debate on Solidarity in time of pandemic

“Marist Solidarity in times of pandemic” is the theme of the XII Edition of the Café Colloquium of the IEM (Institute of Marist Studies) of the Pontifical University of Salamanca (UPSA), which will be held online from 9 to 10 March.

During the first session, Br Ángel Diego García Otaola, Director of the Solidarity Secretariat of the General Administration, will present the role and initiatives of the Secretariat in times of pandemic. The colloquium is scheduled for 9 March at 18:00.

The second day will be given by Br Javier Salazar Celis, Director of SED (Solidarity, Education and Development), the NGO of the Marists in Spain, who will speak on the theme: SED responds. Step forward. His talk will take place on 10 March at 18:00.

Institute of Marist Studies (IEM)

The IEM is a Higher Institute integrated into the Pontifical University of Salamanca, through the Faculty of Education in the Luis Vives Building. It was created at the proposal of the Provincial Councils of the Marist Provinces of Compostela and Mediterránea and with the approval of the Governing Board of the Pontifical University of Salamanca. Its series of coffee-colloquiums are intended to be an annual meeting on subjects related to the objectives of the Institute, where guests and participants can reflect, debate, give their opinions and encourage closeness, knowledge and the strengthening of common bonds.
