Intercultural experience in the novitiate of Medellin

The novices of the United States and Australia from Esopus, New York, underwent an experience for a month in the interprovincial novitiate of the provinces of Norandina and America Central in Medellin, Colombia. It was an opportunity to grow in understanding and expression of the Marist charism in an international setting.

The three novices summed up their experience in these words:

We learned from the different cultural expressions of the novices and Brothers who form part of the Medellin novitiate and their way of living this stage of formation. The language barrier was overcome by our participation in the music, sport and ministry, sharing time in the kitchen and the preparation of prayers.
