Laity committee of East Asia reviews strategic plan
Elma Rafil, Chair of the Laity Committee of the Philippine Sector from the East Asia Province, on May 7th, convened the leaders to review the key result areas of the laity strategic plan. They discussed and made proposals on how the objectives will be carried out.
The Committee’s objectives include the following:
- to have an inclusive understanding and supportive attitude in recognizing and promoting the Marist Lay Vocation;
- to provide a systematic and developmental formation program for the Lay Marists respectful of the diversity and level of engagement among them;
- to identify and create teams of trainers/formators to ensure the proper implementation of the Formation of Marist Brothers and Laity; and,
- to facilitate the conduct of Joint Formation.
A second meting took place on May 12 to finalize the details of the strategic plan.
