Laudato Si’ Formation Program in East Asia

74 Marist Brothers, educators and ministers from East Asia province culminated last July 30 the Laudato Si’ Formation Program of the Marist Ecology Ministry in the Province, in coordination with the Marist Education Commission

The Provincial, Br. Dominador A. Santiago, awarded certificates of participation to 74 Marist participants that went through the process of Seeing, Judging and Acting during the 11 meetings of the program that ran from March to July 2021.

Provincial Councilors Br. Allan J. De Castro and Br. Manuel De Leon witnessed the presentation of action plans of the different Marist schools in the Philippines namely: Marist School Marikina, Notre Dame of Marbel University(NDMU), Notre Dame of Cotabato (NDC), Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC ) and Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU).

10 Ecological Action Plans reflected the highlights of Laudato Si’ and showed the important shifts the document introduced in understanding the Christian faith. Ecological conversion through the study of and prayer with Laudato Si’ came out in the shared reflections of the group. Indeed, the program formed a group of enthusiastic and committed Marist educators who are to live and teach Laudato Si’.
