Living committed to the future
The fourth provincial encounter of school councillors took place at the Marist Centre of Formation in Guatemala in the province of América Central from May 12 – 14.
The encounter focused on the theme “Neuroscience and learning processes” and Silvia Cruz, of the Rafael Landívar University of Guatemala, animated the event.
The reflection of the second day centred on the cognitive abilities and of the brain’s potential, identifying differences and implications for learning problems.
The last module of reflection focused on the role of psychologists and counsellors in educational communities.
The last day was used to finalise the reflection on one’s own educational practice.
Aside from being a formative opportunity, it was an opportunity to share good practices realised in each one of the centres and countries and to deepen our sense of Province.
Being in in the “Fourvière Year,” which invites us to live committed to the future, we want to respond to the renewal of our charism based on our own educational mission, in the departments of counselling.
