We had hardly dealt with our first reactions to the tragic death of our brothers Henri Vergès, when many of us began to express the hope that the memory of the main events of his live would be preserved in writing.
But above and beyond the events which formed the framework of this life, we also discovered the human and spiritual wealth contained in his writings. Most of the texts included in this book allow us to follow our brother?s pilgrimage and to discover the quality of his relationship with the Lord and with other men and women troughout his life, as well as the impact made by the witness of his brutal death.
