This booklet owes its origin to a meeting I had with four hundred young people at Byimana Marist School, Rwanda, on June 14, 2008. It was the keenness of these adolescents to come to a better understanding of the Lord's mother that gave me the enthusiasm to try to write answers to their honest questions.

This booklet takes into account the attitudes of both Catholics and Protestants towards the Mother of Jesus. Many citations come from members of the Evangelical Churches, while the attitude of the Orthodox Churches is made evident in references to their icons and prayers.
