
Marial Year in Brasil
One of the activities programmed for the Marial Year is a course in Mariology organised by the Marist Union of Brasil (UMBRASIL), with the support of the Conference of Religious of Brasil (CRB) and of the National Conference of the Bishops of Brasil (CNBB), thanks to the system of extramural studies (EaD) of the PUCRS.
The course will begin in May 2011 and will confer a special certificate. The duration of the course will be 120 hours (90 h on line and 30 h for composing a personal scientific study).
The modules of the course are as follows: Mary in the Holy Scriptures; Mary in the history of the Church; The place of Mary in Christian worship; Mary in the charisms of congregations and in the tradition of the Church.
Enrollments can be made up to 30 April, on internet . The cost of enrollment is about R$140,00 (about €65).
The aim of the organizers is for the course to help in the theological study of Mariology among religious and laity, thus contributing to a greater knowledge, living and pastoral action inspired by her who was the first disciple of Jesus.
