Marist Education: A Mission

The 2nd Marist Administrators’ Formation Program that commenced on 20 April, 2015 and culminated on 1 May 2015 was indeed a feat.  Held at the Oblates of Notre Dame Retreat House in General Santos City, the formation program was participated by twenty-one lay administrators and four young Marist Brothers who came from Marist School in Marikina, Notre Dame of Cotabato, Notre Dame of Kidapawan College, Notre Dame of Dadiangas University and Notre Dame of Marbel University.  The 2nd batch named itself, MONTAGNE.

Led by Br Wilfredo E. Lubrico, FMS, the core team which was composed of selected administrators who had gone through the 1st Marist Administrators’ Formation Program helped finalize the schedule of activities.  Enriched by the topics that started with Marist Education: A Mission, the entire program provided the participants with relevant subject matters related to Philippine Educational System, Education as a Church Mission, Labor Laws and Practices in Marist Schools, Stress and Time Management, Effective Leadership, Student Services, Human Relations, Academic Supervision and Monitoring, Financial Management and Strategic Action Planning.

The sharing of experiences from the Marist Brothers and Marist Lay administrators brought the participants to the wider landscape of administrative function and deeper expression of Marist commitment.
