Marist Laity | History of the Secretariat of Laity
The Secretariat of Laity is a body of the General Administration of the Marist Institute which encourages the Marist lay vocation in line with the Administrative Units. It is composed of the Director, Manu GĂłmez (Mediterránea), and two Assistant Directors, Ana SaborĂo (Central America) and Mark O’Farrell (Star of the Sea).
The Secretariat, in its mission to encourage the lay Marist vocation is supported by the “Extended Secretariat of Laity”, formed from January 2024, by Alida Bodomanitra (Madagascar), Claudia Rojas (Arco Norte – Provincia Norandina), Elma Rafil (Asia – East Asia) Nathan Ahearne (Oceania – Star of the Sea), Marcos JosĂ© Broc (Brasil Sul-AmazĂ´nia) and Rita Silva (Europa, Provincia de Compostela).
