Statistics of the Institue | Statistics of the Marist mission
The General Administration has developed databases with a great deal of useful information, on the brothers, their works, etc. These databases constitute a heritage which must be preserved and continue to be enriched by constant updates. This constitutes the main task of the person in charge of Statistics.
This person’s duties are the following:
- Computerization of data on the state of the Provinces, the communities, religious professions, deaths, dispensations, novices, fraternities, affiliated members…
- Updating subscriptions to Marist magazines,
- Managing labels for ordinary and extraordinary dispatches.
- Producing annual statistical reports for the Vatican, the Institute,
This service is under the direct responsibility of the Secretary General who hands over the documents to be filed and the requests for information coming from other services of the GA or outside people. Certain confidentiality is needed for these databases: this means that these requests from the outside are answered in so far as prudence allows.
