Born in l958 in Igualada, Barcelona, Spain; belongs to the Hermitage Province. Did his primary studies at the town’s Marist Brothers’ school. After his Marist formation at Las Avellanes, Josep made first profession in l979. Later he studied teaching (1982) and then a Bachelor in Sacred Scripture (Rome, 1990).
He has worked in schools in Catalonia and has been a school principal first in Barcelona (1984-1986) and then in MatarĂł, (1991- 1994).
On Oct. 3, 2009 he was elected as a General Councillor.
