Marist International Solidarity Network
The Marist International Solidarity Network (MISN) has continued to make progress since the last General Assembly, held in Rome in June 2024. The network is still on track, looking to the future and seeking to respond to the emerging needs of the world.
In recent months, some documents of the RMSI were approved, which convey the progress as a network, and which inspire the Marist world in its mission. There are three important documents in this process:
- The Strategic Plan, which offers the main lines of the network (English | Español).
- The Operating Manual, which deals with the technical and practical aspects of the network (English | Español).
- The General Document, with ideas and dreams for the future, which help us to continue dreaming and working for a more just and humane world (English | Español).
In recent months, especially with the last meeting of the Network’s Executive Committee, as well as the meetings of the Institute’s five Focus Groups, the Operational Action Plans corresponding to each of the areas of reflection and work were defined. The Focus groups are: Social Services, Rights, Education in and for Solidarity, Ecology and NGOs/Foundations.
The aforementioned documents are living texts, tools to help the Marist World, guides along the way. The whole Network, the Executive Committee and the Focus Groups remain committed to working in favor of solidarity. For this reason, these documents will continue to be updated, worked on and given life.
