Meeting of Compostela animators

From November 29 to December 1, the animators of the Compostela Province, hosted by the provincial, Brother Máximo Blanco, held a formation meeting in Tuy.

The theme chosen for this year was the meaning of religious life in general in today’s world, and of communities and people in particular, and was presented by Sister Ianire Angulo, a religious of the Servants of the Eucharist and theologian at the Faculty of Theology in Granada.

The dialogue of the meeting was characterized by a basic question: “What is your diagnosis of religious life at the present time?” All the participants, from their own perspectives and particular realities, responded to this question.

There were three formation sessions on Saturday. In the afternoon, the group took part in a guided tour of the city’s cathedral, which was much appreciated by everyone.

On Sunday morning, December 1, as is traditional for these meetings, Brother Provincial dealt with specific topics for the animators. At 12 noon, the group took part in a ceremony organized by the Province and the school in thanksgiving for the presence of the Brothers in Tuy.
