News from the Hermitage’s Community

Since mid-March, the house of Notre-Dame de l’Hermitage has had to comply with containment measures to stop the Covid-19 epidemic. No more groups or individuals have been accommodated in the last two months.

For the community it has been a time of trial but also of deepening community life, especially with the arrival of three new brothers: Brother Manel CASTILLO and Brother Eladi GALLEGO from the Province of the Hermitage, Brother Maurice Paul RAZANANDRO from the Province of Madagascar. Diogène Musine (Province of East Central Africa) and Mrs. Heloisa Afonso de Almeida Sousa (Brasil Centro-Norte). The community is now made up of 7 brothers. We regret the absence of lay people in the Hermitage project, which has been the characteristic since its beginning in 2010.

At the moment we are preparing to receive the groups who have moved their reservations to more favourable dates.
