Online meetings promote the Marist Brother’s vocation in the Province of Brasil Centro-Sul

The Vocation Animation team of the Province of Brasil Centro-Sul launched, on May 26, the first live transmission of the series “O Irmão da vez” (Brothers in time). This initiative, which will continue in the coming months, aims to tell what the life of a Marist Brother is like, what are the activities they carry out in their daily life, what are the stages of their formation journey, and other aspects of their life.

Each month, it will be possible to get to know a Marist Brother better through the Farol 1817 channel on YouTube. The presentations will take place on the last Wednesday of each month.

The first live broadcast, held on May 26, had as its theme “Demystifying Marist religious life” and was attended by Br. Joaquim Sperandio, who was Superior of the Province and is currently part of the ongoing formation community of Manziana, in Italy, and collaborates in the formation of groups on behalf of the General Administration of the Marist Institute.

The purpose of the province’s vocation animation team is to provide a forum for conversation, so that the Brothers themselves can answer frequently asked questions about Marist religious life and so that the audience can feel free to ask questions.

The second meeting will be on June 30 and will have as its theme “Where do the formators live?” The guests for this meeting will be the formators Yuri and Daniel and Brothers Tercílio and Bruno, from the formation house in Joinville.

The next broadcasts scheduled for July and August will have as themes: brothers in mission and vocations month. João Batista and confreres from the other provinces of Brazil will be among the speakers.
