Perpetual profession of Br. Felix Rakotondrainibe in Antsirabe
Brother Felix Olivier Rakotondrainibe, of the Province of Madagascar, pronounced his perpetual vows in the congregation of the Marist Brothers on Sunday 12 December 2021. The celebration took place in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Ambohipeno, Antsirabe. As his theme, he chose the biblical verse “By your perseverance, you will save your souls” (Lk 21, 19).
Two important moments marked the celebration of his consecration to the Lord. The evening before, a moment of thanksgiving took place in the chapel of the Welcome Centre, Mahatamana. This time of prayer allowed Bro. Félix to give witness to his vocational journey. In the presence of the brothers, members of his family and guests, he shared the long road he has travelled to respond to the call of Christ.
The other moment was the celebration of the Eucharist where the ceremony of profession took place in the presence of many parishioners and guests. In fact, representatives of the Marist schools of the Province came to take part in the celebration as a sign of communion. During his homily, the celebrant insisted on the gift of his person to the Lord. Vocation is a free gift from the Lord and our response to his call is also the fruit of his grace. The joy of serving Him, the gift of fidelity and perseverance in following Him are proof of His love.
After the Mass, a fraternal meal in the large hall of the Mahatamana Welcome Centre brought together the guests.
