Province of Brasil Centro-Norte

Evangelizing and educating children, adolescents, and young people is the mission of the Marist Institute. In this perspective, solidarity is one of the essential dimensions of an integral education. Therefore, the Educational and Social Units of Brasil Centro-Norte promote each year different solidarity initiatives, including the Marist Solidarity Mission (MSM), with the participation of the entire educational community. In 2014, the project mobilized participants from 14 States of Brazil (27 municipalities), with more than 15 hundred missionaries representing 17 schools, 15 Social Education and Social Assistance Units, and two Marist Youth Centers.

The MSM project will go on in the Province during 2015, in conjunction with the bicentennial of the Marist Institute. A group of pastoral workers is now developing the materials that will be used in the process.
