Provincial of México Occidental
The general council, after studying the survey conducted in the province, has appointed Brother Miguel Ángel Santos Villarreal as provincial of México Occidental for a second term of three years.
In his letter addressed to the brothers of the Province on April 20, superior general Brother Ernesto Sánchez thanked the provincial superior.
“Thank you, Mike, for your close and fraternal leadership, carried out as a team, as well as for your openness and availability to continue serving the Institute as Provincial. We are walking together in the mission,” he wrote.
Brother Miguel Ángel will begin this second triennium on July 26, the date on which the provincial chapter will begin, preceded by a provincial assembly.
Brother Miguel Ángel was previously in Asia and studied Mandarin for two years.
He then spent several years working in a university, where he taught and served as spiritual director for students.
He was elected provincial for a first term in 2015.
The province of México Occidental includes Haiti and parts of Mexico.
