SED launches book for Lent 2025
On the occasion of Lent, the Spanish Marist NGO SED (Solidarity, Education and Development) has published a book of resources for celebrating Lent, entitled Cultivating justice and caring for people. Count on me.
The 175-page publication is a special selection of biblical quotations, parables, prayers and reflections intended to accompany people during Lent.
Referring to the content, Brother Aureliano García Manzanal, Provincial of Mediterránea, said: “We offer these materials so that they can accompany and help you at every stage of the Lenten journey. They are inspired by the Gospel and by life. They invite you to conversion, to a commitment that affects your whole life in the first person and in the present time.”
SED’s Lent Book 2025 contains preparation materials for Easter that you can download from this link.
The publication encourages all its readers to live each week of Lent with these keys:
- Week of Ashes: To avoid waste
- Week 1: To cultivate interiority
- Week 2: To witness to God’s goodness.
- Week 3: To share fraternity
- Week 4: To be bearers of light
- Week 5: To be sowers of hope.
- Holy Week: To accompany the weak and persecuted
- Easter Week: To promote hope
