Services for the vulnerable population

On Feb. 12 and 13, América Central’s new provincial commission of solidarity met to jointly design the strategic plan of the solidarity commission, in order to provide services in favour of the vulnerable population, with greater emphasis on children and adolescents.

The following points were addressed: the new structure of the provincial solidarity and the strategic plan of the triennium 2018 – 2020, taking into account the following axes: the Marist foundation (development projects), solidarity ministry, volunteering at provincial and external level, provincial politics for the care and protection of minors and rights of children, adolescents and youth.

The province of América Central includes Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Cuba. The situation of vulnerability in this region requires giving creative responses to the cries of so many human beings in need.
