Statistical Project with a Global Perspective on the Marist Mission
As part of the preparations for the XXIII General Chapter, the General Council, through the liaison councilors for the mission area, has launched a project aimed at gathering key information on the composition of the Marist Global Family. This initiative seeks to detail the distribution of apostolic roles in the various mission areas, such as schools, higher education/universities, foundations/NGOs, social works, and other initiatives.
The primary objective of the project is to gain a more precise understanding of the composition of the Marist Global Family by collecting numerical data on the individuals involved in each apostolic role. This approach will provide a clearer view of the human dimension of the mission and serve as a foundation for reflecting on the scope and distribution of responsibilities within the Marist areas of action.
The overall coordination of the project is entrusted to Mr. Diugar Enrique Madera Buscarini, coordinator of the secretariat services for the Secretariats. His expertise in data management and analysis, as well as in the administration of interactive platforms for the Marist Network of Schools, has been instrumental in ensuring an organized and efficient approach to information gathering.
The IT team in Curitiba, composed of Priscila Staniski, Juliano Burkert, and Rafael, under the coordination of General Councilor Br. Josep Maria Soteras, has developed Missio, an application specifically designed to centralize and organize data. The Provincials have appointed members within their respective Provinces to upload the necessary information to the platform, following a globally coordinated and supervised process.
The data collection process is already underway through the various Administrative Units of the Institute. Missio enables the compilation of information in a secure and accessible digital environment, facilitating centralized review and analysis from the General House.
Obtaining concrete data on the individuals serving in apostolic roles within each mission area not only enhances the understanding of the current reality but also helps visualize the diversity and breadth of the Marist Global Family. This statistical approach ensures a clear and objective representation of those involved in the mission, establishing an essential starting point for discernment during the General Chapter.
This project, centered on accurate and objective data, serves as a fundamental tool for better understanding of who we are as a Marist Global Family. The collaboration of all Provinces ensures that this vision is comprehensive and faithful to reality, providing a solid foundation for collective reflection and future planning.
