The SysFMS team works on informatics projects of the General Administration

From February 11 to March 11, Priscila Staniski, Juliano Burkert Teixeira, and Rafael dos Santos, members of the SysFMS team of the Marist Province of Brazil Centro-Sul, were at the General House providing advice on various IT projects of the General Administration. In addition to participating in decision-making meetings related to preparations for the XXIII General Chapter, the team presented updates on several projects currently underway:

  • Nexus: Training during the CPV meeting of the Europe region; Evaluation and improvement modules.
  • Missio: census, map of social works and map of solidarity organizations.

During this immersion, the Curitiba team, along with the General House team, also provided support to the General Secretariat in the following ways:

  • Cleanup of the Kosmos and Domus systems, through feedback submitted via Domus | Hereditas (heritage module) and Missio | Census;
  • Initial design of the new Domus module to assist with meetings held at the General House;
  • Supplementing Kosmos with a tool to facilitate the recording of formations and brothers’ data;
  • Compilation of statistics for the Vatican;
  • Meeting with the Secretariat of the Laity to initiate the design of a new system for the Laity: Kosmos | Populus.

Juliano said that ‘being able to interact face-to-face with those who live and work at the General House in a proactive and fraternal way, translates into delivery tailored to the needs, and is a source of great satisfaction for the entire IT (information technology) team of the Brasil Centro-Sul province’.

Preparations for the XXIII General Chapter

It should be recalled that the team was called to be part of the preparatory committee to serve during the XXIII General Chapter. In this context, during their stay in Rome, the experts made adjustments to the planning, researched tools and acquired equipment that will allow for a better internet connection during the Chapter.

‘It is always a great joy to meet everyone at the General House. Being present and closer to each person on a daily basis allows me to better understand their needs and to respond more quickly and effectively,’ said Priscila Staniski at the end of her stay at the General House. And she also said ‘I am deeply grateful, once again, for the welcome and for this feeling of family every time we meet. We remain united as a true global family.
