Together to transform education

The Edelvives Group has turned into the first publishing company to collaborate with Google on education at a global level to accompany educational centres in applying new technological tools. 

The general director of the Edelvives Group, Javier Cendoya, the head of the responsible of the south of Europe and the head of the German speaking countries of Google for Education, Marc San López, made official the alliance at the headquarters of the technology giant in London in the presence of representatives of over 60 Spanish educational institutions.

Under the theme ?together to transform education,? both companies have joined forces to promote innovative approaches using tools and resources that enable students to develop the skills of future professionals: teamwork, problem solving, creativity and communication.

Cendoya stressed the alliance between Edelvives Group with 127 years of history and of Google, with 17 years of experience, the intention arose to ?sharing, connecting and working together to change the world.?  

?The Edelvives Group,? he stated, ?wants to make real cooperative learning possible, without any type of limitation of the environment,? something that is easy to obtain with Google.
San López stressed that the goal of Google for Education is to ?provide open technology to improve learning for all everywhere.?

After highlighting that his company has entered the education sector to provide  mass solutions with the intention to increase tenfold its potential, he said the technology ?is not an end but a means? to achieve educational goals.

The +Edelvives project, that the publishing group presented in centres since 2015, allowed using its contents in the operating system Google Chrome, through an application.

In addition to the curriculum, +Edelvives centres offer the option to meet all the educational possibilities of the application and implement a digitization plan Chromebook.

One of the key points of the agreement is the formation and accompaniment of teachers.
