Training on civil society participation mechanisms at the UN
The Solidarity-Cmi secretariat, with the collaboration of the FMSI Advocacy area and the NGO SED, is promoting training sessions on “Mechanisms for civil society participation in the United Nations”. The first session took place on November 27th, with the participation of more than 20 Marists, brothers and laypeople from all the regions of the Institute. Two Marist Missionary Sisters also took part.
The aim of this proposal is to train people from the Administrative Units in the mechanisms offered by the United Nations to participate in the defense and promotion of human rights.
In the first session, the group was advised by Maria D’Onofrio, secretary general of the International Catholic Center of Geneva (CCIG).
The next sessions will be held on December 2, 5 and 9.
