We always form « good Christians and virtuous citizens »

On Saturday 8 June, Brothers of the Provincial Council, former students, students, numerous parents of families, ex-teachers of the college, current collaborators under the   Council of Direction, and a good group of other people who have supported the work of the « Colegio Champagnat » of Bogotá over these 75 years, came together to commemorate the event with a solemn eucharistic celebration. It was presided over by a former student, Mgr Luis Madrid Merlano, Bishop of Nueva Pamplona (Norte de Santander), accompanied by Fr José Leonardo Rincón, national president of CONACED (National Catholic Confederation of Education), Fr Arturo Silva, president of CONACED Federation of Bogotá-Cundinamarca, Fr Juan José Gómez, rector of the « Colegio Agustiniano del Salitre » and the chaplains of the college, Frs Gilberto Suárez and Alfredo de la Cruz.

Thanks first of all to Jesus Christ, to our good Mother the Virgin Mary, to Saint Marcellin Champagnat who, in founding the Congregation, gave us the motto : « All to Jesus through Mary, all to Mary for Jesus ». Thanks also to all those who in various ways have been present in this Establishment in the course of these 75 years.

As Marcellin Champagnat wished, « we always form good Christians and virtuous citizens ».
