We are bold Marists of Champagnat

Young representatives of Marist schools in Madagascar and Brothers in charge of the vocations ministry met on Sept. 8 and 9 to continue the formation of lay leaders. The goals of the encounter were:

* to form responsible laity and leaders, who are bold and strong in the vocation;

* know the place and the role of the laity within the Marist mission and the Church;

* provide opportunities for moments of interiority, prioritising silence, providing an encounter with God;

* to foster community life: to live and grow together;

* prioritise moments of listening, dialogue, cooperation and brotherhood.

Under the theme “Together towards a new beginning,” the 30 participants reflected on the vocation of the laity in the Marist mission, stressing the desire of the brothers and lay people of walking together in the mission, ready to go to the suburbs to become prophets and mystics.
