Coman Sykes

In the second half of his life, Coman had a number of cardiac issues but this rarely slowed him down.  Even when he moved to St Gregory’s College at Campbelltown in 2003, he led a full life up until a few months ago.

More recently it was clear that there were significant health issues associated with his heart and his age also played a part.  He became increasingly frail.  While it was clear that his life had reached its final stages, there was no immediate concern when he went to bed last evening.  He died peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of this morning (September 20) between 5.30am and 7.30am when he was discovered.

At the time of his death, Coman was 85 years of age and in the 67th year of his religious life.
