Affiliation of Father Max Blumentha

On Saturday, the feast of Mary, Help of Christians, Father Max Blumenthal was affiliated to the Province of  Australia. The liturgy was prepared by Peter Stewart and after communion Jeff Crowe made the presentation. Part of the citation read: "Fr Max is loved and respected by all the brothers in our community. He is a cheerful presence in the house, involves himself in community rituals, and is senitive to the individual needs of each brother.

He truly reflects Marcellin Champagnat's vision of 'making Jesus known and loved' to the province as a whole, to our community, and to the students of Marcellin College Randwick".

Following the mass a celebration meal took place in the Randwick atrium. Present at the celebration were the Randwick, Daceyville, Seabird and Murgon communities plus Peter Carroll and Leonard Ouellet – Brother left today to take up his appointment at the Tudella Novitiate in Sri Lanka.
