Champagnat Marist Family in East Timor

On Sunday, 10th April 2011, about 30 people representing Brothers, staff of ICFP, former students and friends of the Marist Community, gathered to share their experiences and understandings of what it means to be Marist, particularly Lay Marist, and to gather ideas of how to develop the Marist Family in Timor Leste. A special feature of the meeting was the presence of Mr Joe McCarthy, Province Coordinator of Lay Marist Formation, who shared his experiences and insights and listened carefully to the ideas that were raised. The energy and spirit of the gathering gives great  hope to the future development of some expression of the Champagnat Marist Family.
