Couse of Bible in Matola

FMSGod who Sees, Hears, Knows and Comes. Br. Christopher extended his hand of generosity to our novices at Matola. He arrived on 5th November. He dwelt on the Bible as a place where we encounter a God who sees, hears, knows and comes to us. He stressed that the human learning cycle follows a pattern marked by :  Experience, Stop-Look, Reflect and Learn and that this cycle continues in us throughout life. It was not a spoon feeding workshop but a participative one. We could see novices involved through several exercises which they had to share with others before the actual in-put.

It was interesting to note that he had to share on  several aspects that touch our life as found in  the Old Testament, the New Testament, Sacraments, Saints and prayer. Participants felt very much enriched and pledged to use all that they have acquired in their own lives and ministries with the youth. They admired highly his simplicity which they baptized as down to earth. He had a lot of stuff to present but as we say time was jealousy he had to leave on Saturday the 12th November after spending a week with us.  As Brother Norbert said one tree does not make a forest, it means that the staff appreciate all who are willing to share with the novices their expertise.

Long Live Brother Christopher! Our love and prayers will always follow you. Come again!  We will take your last advice seriously, although you claim to be born before technology:  ”Be the Bible that people should be able to read!” Come one, come all to help us! Let us remember a novitiate is an initiation place for our Marist life and mission. Life is worthwhile when it is shared. To our novice l say, “Vai anunciar-lhes que viu O Sonhor e repetir-lhes o que Ele lhe disse.” Parabens(congratulations) Christopher and Estamos Juntos( we are together). God bless.
