Hospitality Trade Training Centre and Technology and Applied Studies Facility in Forbes

On Monday April 7 we had the Official Opening and Solemn Blessing of our Hospitality Trade Training Centre and Technology and Applied Studies Facility in  Forbes, Australia. Government grants, through programmes administered by the NSW Catholic Block Grant Authority, contributed almost $3 million of the total $5.5 million costs for these projects. The projects involved maintenance, refurbishment and new facilities.

Bishop Michael Kennedy and Hon John Cobb MP officiated, and among the many official guests were Brother Michael Green and Brother John Hilet. John who as previous principal had set the projects in motion and was happy to see the fruits of his labours. Brother Michael Flanagan welcomed and thanked all present and reminded us that the worth of the facilities is measured by the contribution they make to the growth of individuals in our Marist college community.

The attached photo shows Bishop Michael Kennedy with Br Michael Green and Br Michael Flanagan and some of our Hospitality students who prepared an excellent luncheon for our guests.
